… On the wall next to the basketball court looms a rack of the strangest footwear I have ever seen. Kangoo Jumps look a lot like ski boots, but they have an elliptical apparatus affixed to the soles that gives when you walk. This is where the “jumps” part comes in — you can jump as high as three feet with minimal impact to your joints. Balancing on the boots also develops core muscles. … My cousin Justin Davis played men's basketball for Stanford University from 1999-2004 under Mike Montgomery, now head coach for UC Berkeley.  While earning my master's degree at Stanford University during the 2003-2004 school year I was privileged to observe one of Stanford's best and disappointing seasons.  Josh Childress was drafted into the NBA while my cousin Justin was lucky to be drafted in Greece after recovering from a knee injury with 6 games left in the season.  This experience taught …
